THE CON REPORT OF DOOOOOOOMMMMM

With each passing year it gets harder to write these things. This year's Fanime in brief was a whirlwind. There were wins and fails of epic proportions, absolutely nothing was done on time, there was NO TIME to get done all that needed to be done, and most of the 3.5 days was spent getting swept from one place/event/shoot to another. For the most part I loved it! (In much the same way that I love pain and stress and adrenalin rushes). I spent 3 nights in 3 different hotel rooms, met a ton of awesome new people, spent time with some of my favorite friends, participated in my 1st masquerade skit, ate way too much McDonalds and got virtually no swag -- it was generally an awesome and eventful con.

Oh also throughout the whole duration of con I had to myself a total of 3 Souls. BFF CORNUCOPIA

Went to cursedinanime's house today for sewing/wigging party with her and chynoi. While working we watched Star Trek, Hot Fuzz and Silent Hill X) I cut sygmus's Robert Haydn wig and spiked chynoi's Soul wig. Finally, after getting cockblocked all weekend (scheduled to see it on Sat. 8:30 show sold out. Rescheduled for Sun. Parents realized their flight was that day, not the day after, had to cancel so I could drive them to SFO) I finally saw Star Trek!! Man oh man it's been so long since I watched a hardcore IN SPACE!!! WITH SPACESHIPS!!! sci-fi film. It was exciting! Humorous! Deliciously well-written! Well-acted! 99.999999% of it was awesome!! And it bothers me that there's 0.00000001% that bothers me OH WELL good movies have ruined me forever what else is new.

Everyone was hooottttt. It disturbed me greatly that I would find Spock attractive, but it helped that he was clean-shaven, stoic, had sweet eyebrows, and wasn't a head-opening psycho killer. And holy shit never once when I watched Heroes did I realize Zachary Quinto's legs are like MILES LONG. Oh man I couldn't stop staring at his legs and and whenever Spock comes into the frame it's like helloooo shoulders.

And whooa hi there Cameron, and McCoy ahh big brother so adorable and Harold Sulu and HEHE widdle Chekov and SCOTTYYYYYYY

I badly want to ship Sulu/Chekov cuz they're both adorabibble but the movie didn't throw me enough gay to slash anyone :'C

For a person who generally talks way too much, it didn't take me long to figure out what to do with this account. I will be using it like I'd use Twitter i.e. for inanity, flailings, minor things I feel like I need to externalize in my small corner of the internet. I think I will begin to use LJ more for an Important Things / Things That Remotely Matter, Somewhat / General Networking place. Event reports, photo dumps, art, memes, tl;dr feelings stuff.

Okay, which isn't much different from how I'm using it now, but. WELL WE'LL SEE, maybe I'll even venture into writing again, and THAT will stay on DW. It's mostly so that I don't have to lock down my posts so much, now that my LJ f-list has become the size it is.
