art dump #126 - Static Shock [1], original [1]
Nothing much to see here. Just some STATIC SHOCK, which I of course fell madly in love with, since I am wont to fall face-first and extremely hard into obscuro-/dead-fandoms. In fact I'm surprised I hadn't started watching this even before stereophilic infected me with her awesome Virchie FST. Yeah, STATIC SHOCK, that super awesome cartoon with the doubly super awesome black main character. So awesome, and sadly unknown/underappreciated now, that it warrants ALL-CAPS whenever I mention it on LJ.




Since I'm a slave to quasi-realism Virg's dreads came out a lot floppier when translated in my style. Also, unintentionally, vaguely feminine DX I'm totally happy with Richie though, and it's on him that I unwittingly drew the most incredible Sadface I've ever drawn.

Pairing art will obviously follow, but may be kept to the confines to the_gas_station. Comment if you want me to post here :D (though I highly doubt anyone cares.)

And the next thing is a little dedication to Kieran "Fatty". My heavy, unwieldy laptop from the gijinka art meme I did a while back, if anyone remembers.




My relationship with Kieran, my laptop, in brief. He's a Dell Inspiron that I'd acquired 2 years ago, and have not been able to live without. I take him in my backpack everywhere I can, much to the dismay and frequent complaints of my shoulders. I don't know why he's so incredibly hefty, probably because we ordered him with some extra features...

Anyway, he's heavy, he's huge, he eats up all my memory when I need it the most (i.e. doing graphic design projects), and starts to seriously spazz out after running 3 Adobe programs simultaneously for a few hours. But I love him anyway. He's like, my husband or something. 8D
