Happy, sad, relieved, scared -- all in one. + Himitsu.
In which Aki rambles )

Watched only half of Himitsu today because I was at karaoke (a-again), but it was a "TRY NOT TO HIT THE FOOD WITH THE HIGHEST CALORIES" GAME, with Arashi VS Comedians. Love the cowboy hats. *___*

Ohno's weight is close to mine -- THAT IS NOT HEALTHY )

PS: [info]skipthebeat, I got your message, but I can't reply because of privacy options? XD;;

Half-success, half-failure.

I sent off 7 boxes, but ended up having to bring back about 8? Some were too heavy to go printed material, so I need to write up the contents list. They gave me some forms to write those on, but since I went kinda late, I'll have to go back again tomorrow. Maybe I will end up doing the M-bag after all, for the remaining books.

They also suggested I go get some bigger cardboard boxes from the supermarket, but when I went, they only had the weird kind, so I just ended up taking two of those. Maybe I'll use those to carry the books to the Gifu City post office for the M-bags. Or something.

EDIT: They almost gave me this sticker thing for collecting to enter some prize thing, but since I'll be leaving, there really wasn't any point to that. So instead, the manager went in the back room and got me a small box that had a ceramic replica of a Japanese post mailbox... And then he apologized for adding to the stuff I'd have to send home, LOL. XD;

So, [info]yoshikochan, a heads up for now. =D I'll send you the list of the ones that went out today later. Once I get some more work in.

---

My apartment is likely too dusty. With all this sorting and packing, I've been kicking up dust, and sneezing every so often. It's like a half-summer's cold plus light allergies. That would explain why my eyes have been a little itchy. x_x

Okay, having finished Blame! (and damn, I so wanna read Blame!2 and Blame Academy, but I think those are still just in Japan right now), anybody got any recommendations off the OneManga.com list? I've already finished Black Cat and am reading Zetman, both of which I totally recommend, along with the aforementioned Blame.

edit: actually, now that I think about it, blog recs and such would be welcome, too. ^^

Zimbabweans play the zero game
On Monday, the Zimbabwe government introduced the 100 billion Zimbabwe dollar note (for the uninitiated, a billion is nine zeros).

The counting of zeros had already become a nightmare for bankers and shoppers before the introduction of the new note - which at the time of writing would buy about two loaves of bread.

So far this year, the country ravaged by hyperinflation has been forced to print 100-million, 250-million and 500-million notes in rapid succession. All of them are now almost worthless. It has become common now for Zimbabweans to talk of their daily expenses in trillions (one trillion is 12 zeros).
