......I'm vaguely itching to draw for Persona 3. This is ridiculous. Putting >5 hours a day into something does NOT compel me to want to do fanart for it.

While I've been dying from backed up projects in advertising and rotting in the photography darkroom, I have in fact been accumulating material for Orichalcum. I just didn't actually have any time till after the quarter's over to post all this stuff. DX

The setting in brief: Chinese steampunk in the Qing dynasty, late 1800s. I've altered the history so that the Chinese were the first to discover/innovate flight. Through dirigible technology. In short, SPEED BLIMPS!

...I fucked up Leo and now he needs a new bumper.

Basically, he had a little scuffle with the curb/driveway (a hybrid, I'd say. It was so much steeper than a normal driveway slope) and when I backed up off it I dislodged the left side of the front bumper. I also tore up a piece of plastic panel on the underside near the left front tire.

The quote I got at Nissan for a replacement is about $800.

WHOOP DE FUCKING FUCKITY DOO.

Hopefully some duct tape can help me survive the 3 hour drive home. I was able to push the bumper back in place and it hasn't given me any trouble driving around town, but I doubt 70mph and wind resistance will be that forgiving.

SOOO after drowning my sorrows in wine, beer and a cocktail (I've never been so drunk in my life. I didn't know one drinks as much as a whole bottle's worth of wine on a wine tasting trip. Thankfully I was spared a hangover.) I wasted some more time today drawing useless shit.

So I was watching the Lupin the 3rd movie DVD boxset which ensuing lent me, and being hopelessly nostalgic, since I grew up watching Lupin and Ghibli movies. After I finished Voyage Into Danger I decided I wanted to waste a few hours honoring my very first anime hero (and possibly very first anime crush hoh shit). Because I haven't drawn absolutely useless, irrelevant shit for a while.

It's been a long time since I last sat down properly and took time to draw something decent, instead of rushing an idea out within a confined time bracket i.e. between classes or late at night. I actually spent 4 hours on the lineart, between Professional Practices and Typography yesterday. It feels good to draw at a leisurely pace and not work at full capacity all the time 8D;

I've also not exploded into a rabid rash of Deathly Hallows art after finishing the book, which is very shocking. I feel like I've failed at some sort of big, important thing in life. So today I try to make up for it.

I'm pretty happy with the last episode, despite what a lot of people thought of it. Though I do agree that The Fight needed MOAR EPIC. I could've been INFUCKINGCREDIBLE. Oh well. Can't have everything, I guess. Not even a happy ending. (Though we all know now that it was a sadistic and misleading feint on the director's part. I found out too soon. Wouldn't have minded the temporary heartache. 8D)

Anyway, after 3 8-hour internship days of clicking and dragging with a Mac mouse on a G5, I decided I needed some good ol' fashioned hand drawing, stat. It struck me very suddenly today, and with great surprise, how much better I've gotten with tablet drawing. Well I'd better, considering the amount of time I've spent using it >_>

Anyway, boring Gundam stuff, and none of that Seed crap either. (I mean "crap" in the most affectionate manner possible, of course. XD)

I felt a little bad immediately after reading the email. Then I reminded myself, it isn't my fault they weren't more on task about keeping me informed, since I had to find out through the middleperson instead of them. Why else would Michelle ask me for the flyer file unless the clients didn't have it? Also, uh Angie you can't simply scale down the poster the text will not be legible. Sooo I still win. *cough*

Yeah I don't think she's happy with me either. Then again you can't really reply all happy like to an unhappy illustrator... uhm. >_>;
